This week, I finished my SRII! Yay! It kept breaking apart at the waist and in the middle of the longer leg, but I managed to keep it together after using the patching slip. (Note to self: Patching slip works 100 times better than normal slip. Seriously. I used normal slip like 10 times and it still kept breaking apart.)
The bowl is completely dry and now I just need †ø wait for the baby root to dry.
My matcha bowls are also almost completely dry, and I forgot to carve a foot in them (oops). I tried my best to carve the best foot from my almost leather hard pots but it was really hard because I couldn't get my tool through the clay. It was also really hard to gain good control of my tool. The feet ended up being terrible (I had to hand carve them) but oh well.. I'm hoping the pretty glaze colors will hide the horrible feet.
In terms of glaze colors, I'm thinking darker, toned-down colors, like dark red, dark green and various shades of blue. Like the shape of my 4 different bowls, I want the colors to be unified enough, but not too similar. I want each pot to look different & unique.
Btw, I am pretty sure I made this fact clear to everyone by now, but I hate my portrait bust (I hate it more than my slab pot, which I also despise greatly). And you know what makes me hate it even more now? The fact that a spider crawled out of it the other day.
